My Privacy Policy describes how I collect and manage your personal information when you interact with this site. If you have any questions or concerns about how your personal information is being handled, please contact me. I may collect your personal information by various means including telephone, email, client intake forms, newsletter subscription, via my website www.newseasondoulacare.com.au. I collect this information for the primary purpose of providing my services to you, respond to your queries, to provide news about my services and to improve my services.

I will only collect sensitive information by methods that are reasonably secure, such as in a zoom consultation or face to face meeting, through my client intake form, or via email or telephone.
I collect this information to ensure I am providing you with the most appropriate services that will best suit your needs.
The sensitive information I ask you to provide for this purpose may include information relating to your personal health, medical history, lifestyle and relationships, the outcomes of previous pregnancy or birth experiences, and personal feelings surrounding the perinatal period.
I am committed to securely storing and handling your sensitive information. Sensitive information is stored in a locked filing cabinet and on a password protected computer, only accessible by me. All archived sensitive information is securely destroyed after 7 years.
The better my understanding is of your personal situation, the better I can deliver my services to you and provide you with the care that is specific to your individual situation. You may choose not to provide me with your sensitive information. However, if you choose not to, I may not be able to provide you with the services that are going to best suit your needs.
Disclosure of Information
I will need to disclose your information if required by law to do so or in circumstances permitted by the Privacy Act – for example, where I have reasonable grounds to suspect that someone is engaging in unlawful activity, or misconduct of a serious nature, that relates to my functions or activities, and in response to a subpoena, discovery request or a court order.
If you have any concerns regarding the disclosure of your information in this context, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me to discuss this personally.
I will use all reasonable means to protect the confidentiality of your information while in my possession or control. I will never knowingly share any of your information with any third party other than the service providers who assist me in providing the information and/or services I am providing to you. To the extent that I do share your information with a service provider, I would only do so if that party has agreed to comply with our privacy standards or I am satisfied that the service provider has a suitably protective policy of their own. Some of my service providers may be overseas and may not be subject to Australian Privacy Laws. Please contact me if you have any concerns about the potential disclosure of your information.

I manage risks to your information by storing files securely and ensuring that only I have access to sensitive information. Any information released to service providers is on a strictly need-to-know basis.
